For our well-being we need to be able to take sound decisions, solve conflicts and define goals that reflect our needs also in the long run. In order to find satisfying solutions we need to take in account our thinking AND our feelings (also called gut feelings or intuition). The result of our deliberation should not only be reasonable and logical, but should also give us a positive feeling.
The affect balance is an easy tool with an astonishing impact. Nobody has to determine his/her exact feeling in order to make use of it. With the help of two separate scales we can become aware of the intensity of our negative and positive emotions relating to a situation, an option or a topic.
The affect balance allows us to get another view, to see more clearly and finally to find a satisfying solution more easily.
During the workshop you have the possibility of using the affect balance on a personal topic or a situation in which you want to have more insight.

Speaker: Beat Edelmann is an expert for self-management and works as a trainer and a coach. He has professional experience in many fields such as social work, further education management, internal communication, web/IT projects and online marketing.
He is fascinated by self-management, motivation, decision-making as well as stress and health management and offers talks and workshops regarding these subjects.
